We had no management process or training, and we needed The Rumin8 Group’s help to structure our company while helping us keep our whole team aligned in the process.

Our main goal was to get our team aligned on the processes we needed to implement for proper team management to support our growth.

The Goal

Carrie Forbes was appointed CEO in 2020 and decided to engage The Rumin8 Group to support the organization through this time of change to set out a strategic path to cultivate a culture infused with trust, innovation, and collaborative leadership.

As a cooperative fintech company with a rich legacy in supporting credit unions across Atlantic Canada, League Data recognized the need to evolve - not just in terms of technology and services but, more critically, in its organizational culture and ethos.

The goal was to set intentional change, where a traditional company navigates the complexities of modern business landscapes, striving to stay relevant, competitive, and socially impactful.

The challenge was multifaceted: rejuvenating an established organizational culture, enhancing digital visibility, and countering inherent issues like limited empowerment within the workforce.

These barriers stood in stark contrast to the company's aspirations of fostering innovation and growth. 


As the world entered the 2020s, League Data found itself amidst a transformative era marked by rapid technological advancements and shifting market dynamics.

Part of the work with The Rumin8 Group is creating a safe space because while the team has their internal coaches, it's great for them, especially at the senior levels, to have a third party, somebody who is neutral, that has no say over their performance, where they can have really honest, authentic conversations.

The process began with The Rumin8 Group taking a deep look at the company's core values and identity. The Rumin8 Group embarked on a mission to revitalize League Data’s ethos.

The Rumin8 Group put an emphasis on cultivating trust as the cornerstone of the new culture. The approach was hands-on and multifaceted, involving group coaching sessions, leadership alignment initiatives, and the development of new processes that were tailored to nurture skill sets and build core competencies within the team.

A unique aspect of this journey was the rejection of generic, cookie-cutter solutions in favour of strategies that resonated with League Data’s unique culture and needs.
